Il modo naturale e allo stesso tempo caratteristico di fotografare lo ha sempre disposto a tutto lo scibile del genere senza negarsi nulla perché la sua fonte d’ispirazione non è legata a nessun mistero come la mitica origine dell’arcobaleno o la fonte d’amore e disamore di Angelica e Rinaldo. Flora Torrisi piccola principessa dell’obiettivo, ha ripreso e riprende tutto ciò che propone il mondo; questa la sua poco misteriosa sempre osannata e non abbastanza mai lodata sorgente d’ispirazione. Per questo tutti i temi che propongono i suoi scatti non sono altro che lo stupendo, eterogeneo, inimitabile e immarscescibile campionario di ogni continente, visto che oltretutto ha compiuto e compie viaggi in altrettante latitudini. È talmente attinente all’arte che le sue opere, eseguite sempre in alta definizione, possono campeggiare in ogni mostra o evento che galleria o museo propongono, non solo per la duttilità d’adattamento alle misure programmate dai curatori, ma anche e soprattutto perché un flash che riguarda un litorale frastagliato di frangenti spumosi, grazie al suo imprimatur fotografico, può sembrare un sacco di Burri, mentre un campo di papaveri sorpresi dallo scatto nel momento di maggior rigoglio crea, con il pathos più immediato, l’accostamento al più grande e colorato Monet. È per questo sapere che la Torrisi firma solo istantanee d’autore.

It is very relevant to art that her works, always executed in high definition, can take up a position in any exhibition or event that a gallery or museum may propose, not only for the flexibility of adaptation to the measures planned by the curators, but also and especially because a flash that covers a jagged coastline of frothy breakers, thanks to its photographic imprint, may seem like Burri’s sacking, while a field of poppies surprised by the photographic click in the moment of greatest blooming creates, with the most immediate pathos, the approach to the largest and most colorful Monet. It is because of this knowing that Torrisi only signs original snapshots.
